Unrelated Notes from Today [Aug. 1st, 2010|11:11 pm]
Nicodemus
The cheap plastic drawers in my workshop were physically breaking down after about ten years' service. The plastic is actually splitting apart and crazing.

So we went to CostCo and bought a nice storage rack. Metal shelving with bins to slot into it. Rugged yet organizable.

And I just want to recommend Whalen Storage products. It had all the parts, was actually fast and easy to set up, looks nice, and seems sturdy enough. It's a shame that combination of attributes is so rare that it bears special mention!

The other note is that our household has now watched plenty of Bob the Builder today. This was a gift from my parents and it's the new favorite DVD! Now I don't mind it, though Kit might differ on that, but the 2 hours of content gets a little old after a bit. (I now have great empathy for Penh, who's had to endure much more repeated Bob exposure than I have.)

The Bob theme song is infectious. The only problem I have is that it has been mixing with the other thing stuck in my head today (for no good reason): Charlie the Unicorn. Now that makes for an interesting audio cocktail!

Well at least if I have time to get back into remixing again, I'll know where to start! ;P

Strangely enough, when you're out there in the middle of it acting along, it somehow manages to stay relatively fresh. Still, the entire show is pretty much permanently engraved on my brain, and resurfaces at odd moments to haunt me.

I have to imagine that's the only way you stayed (relatively) sane. And I don't object to Bob; it's not a bad show. The problem is really the ratio of Toddler Demand To Watch vs Length Of Only Bob DVD We Own. :P
