Well, outside of environmental reasons, you can sure bet that car manufacturers started using these shiney bumpers because they knew they could charge a bundle to get it replaced at the slightest touch.
ultimately are easier to repair than humans. annoying, but i'm very glad you're intact.
the disposable camera idea is a good one - i carry my digital everywhere on similar logic.
I wonder if insurance companies would reject digital photos on the grounds of their being less tamper-proof?
eeep!!! well glad you're ok. :-) and yea for car insurance! also a very good idea about the camera.
Eep! Sorry to hear that. Very much concur that it's up there as a Seriously Not Good way to start the day. But of course, glad that you're intact.
Make sure you see a doctor, You can feel fine then the back ache hits...
I just have a very slight lingering soreness in my neck. Honestly, it's about what I'd have after riding a rollercoaster. So, unless I feel something in the next 24 hours, I'm not really inclined to think I need a medical exam. The impact, though solid, wasn't too sharp or extreme.
Do be kind though and not abuse the system. I just got hit with a general rate hike on my insurance and a large part of such increases come from what are basically fraudulent injury claims in accidents. I know you wouldn't do that unless it was a real injury. This just comes to mind though as my mom did the same thing this past weekend except she was the one running into someone. The other driver is now claiming she was going faster than she said she was and is filing for a medical claim / back injury as a result of being rear ended at 5-10mph. *joy*
Anyway, good to hear you're alright. I saw a nasty three car crunch yesterday. A couple of vehicles were tailgating in 30mph bumper to bumper traffic and they were staring at the accident on the other side of the freeway. I heard a crunch and looked over to see them plowing into each other. *bleh*
Yeah, I've got strong moral problems with that sort of thing. I came home, had a good shower, and feel fine now. So things are okay there.
Yeah I still feel strange to have been in a major vehicle accident ($15,000+ to a 03 Lexus IS300 I was driving when a Ford Explorer hit me in the driver's side front corner) and have walked away without any injuries. It never even crossed my mind to file a medical claim since I knew I wasn't hurt. Morality sucks like that. ;)

His slowing, though audibly sincere, was a bit delayed.
I nominate this for Best Sentence of 2004.
Thank you. High praise from you! :) I did spend some time choosing words, there.
Hey glad you allright and hope it all gets fixed soon enough :)
Glad you're ok, and sorry about the car. What is it about that household and people running into you guys?
Seriously, though, glad that you're okay. No flat rats to-day.
