Aha! Y'see, I had this word rattling around in my head (like a BB in an empty tuna fish can) during the day and I didn't know why. So I made this post. Now I know where "alluvial" came from! Thanks.

I have spent much time on the Alluvial Plains in Death Valley and the Paniment range looking for fossils and other interesting stuff.

Cool. I've never been to Death Valley, but I would like to see it someday.

Why does this make me think of Charlie Brown not being able to spell the breed of his own dog?
