Going with Plan B [May. 10th, 2007|02:45 pm]
Nicodemus
So the plan was that Timothy would wait until Kit could move up to Washington. Kids just won't listen...

Kit's water broke last night, exactly a full month prior to her due date. I made a mad scramble to SEA-TAC to find there were no flights until today.

She's currently in the hospital and I arrived this morning. No major events yet. We're having labor induced, so we expect there'll be news later tonight or early tomorrow. The hospital doesn't have wifi, but I'll post updates when I can.

Babies are gonna come when they want and there's no stopping them when they do. Here's to a healthy offspring though!

Meh, kids never listen. My friends expected their son to be a month old in time for their wedding, instead he held on til two days before the ceremony. Mom and baby came straight from the hospital and were still wearing their hospital bracelets when the "I do's" were said.

Good luck with everything :)

perhaps the baby is trying to hint that it would like to be an eager beaver (or an early bird) for halloween this year?

good luck to all three of you.

The kid is ALREADY ACTING UP! Surely a bad sign. Going to be quite a handful!

My thoughts are with you and Kit, and my fingers are crossed! Bring us back some good news!

Oh man, I'm sure it will be fine. Babies do have a habit of doing their own thing sometimes.

Hmm.. on reflection my first comment may not have come across as humorous as intended.

I'll settle on looking forward to photos of the little rug rat.

And speaking of rug rats, this does bring to mind the question I posed many months ago, for which I got few replies. If technology were available, would this be a morphic rat, or would you not do that to a child?

I would not want to make such a drastic decision for him. I'd let him to find his own totem, if he needs one.

Feh, a hospital in the bay area not having wifi? What sort of 20th century antique hospital did you go to? ;D

Timothy wants to be a California native. I can hear the story now, " I was born in California but I moved when I was 3 days old" *LOL*

It's a tradition; I was born in Arizona but moved to Oregon when I was ten days old. :)
