Big Buildings [Jul. 12th, 2007|09:02 pm]
Nicodemus
Today I went to the top* of this building. It's the Columbia Center, the tallest building in Seattle. It's long been one of my favorite skyscrapers; I think it's very elegant, with the three intersecting arcs and the smooth black facade.

The famous Space Needle looks small from up there.

* Not, like, the top top. I didn't climb out on the roof or anything. Just the observation level.

I had the same thought as above, at least as regards design. =:) A most attractive arrangement.

I'd also like to give recognition to a pleasant feature of the Minneapolis skyline, over on the left - the circular "fan" extends about 270 degrees. Quite neat, in person.

Though I think my two favorite designs probably remain the Swiss Re building and the Petronas Towers. ^_^

I'm not as fond of the Swiss Re building but I give it points for creativity.

The Petronas Twin Towers and the Burj Al-Arab are actually my favorites among skyscrapers.

Oh, that sounds like fun. I've always wanted to go up there, but I always get there after they are closed.
