Just had Main Engine Cut-Off and External Tank Jettison. It looked like another perfect launch!|
Thanks to the link you provided earlier, seamora
, Peony and I were able to watch the launch live. ^_^
As you said, a perfect launch.
Glad to help and glad you enjoyed the launch!
Yeah, all the new safety cameras make launch a lot more interesting to view too.
No substitute for actually being there though. Shuttle launches are cool but I'm eagerly awaiting being able to go to an Orion/Ares launch in a few years and hopefully a scaled Composite launch. Chairo has me beat on that one.
That will make the following launch vehicles I've gotten to see in person.
Very cool. I've yet to see a launch from any distance which could be deemed "close". Someday, hopefully.
Great icon! (Rat with shiny party hat.)
I keep thinking that one day shuttle launches will be as mundane and ordinary as airline flights. But for now... YAYYYY!! ^____^
I found you by way of croc
when I was visiting in San Jose last month. He said you'd moved here so I've been meaning to contact you, but he didn't mention that you appreciated space flight! I've been an avid follower of the topic since early childhood. Have you been to the Seattle Museum of Flight yet? I'm a member, I'd be happy to join you there for a visit. My treat of course.
Wonderful. Well, nice to meet you! I haven't seen the museum but I'd certainly be interested. I also want to get over to the Sci-Fi Museum but, since moving up, we've been too busy with our new son and finding a house to really do anything else.
Even so, it'd be fun to get together sometime. Do you live in Seattle proper?
