Home Work [Oct. 28th, 2007|11:37 pm]
Kit and I made yet more progress on home stuffs:

Painted the writing room
Installed a chair rail in the writing room
Unpacked some more boxes
Installed half of outdoor lighting
Scheduled start of kitchen remodel

In order to do the chair rail, and future projects, I purchased a table saw. Okay, technically it's a "Sliding Arm Compound Miter Saw with (Frickin') Laser". People who are more handimanly with me will know exactly what that is from the name; to me, it's a type of table saw. Cuts nice.

It just so happens that I'm currently in the market for exactly one of those: a sliding compound miter saw. Undt mit laser.

Which model did you pick, and why, if I might be so bold as to ask? :)

I went for the Craftsman Pro 10in. I've had really good experiences with Craftsman products. (Understandably, their lifetime guarantee doesn't apply to power tools.) The 10in model seemed sufficient for all my needs without going to the 12in and bigger motor. Seems to have a nice grip and good movement to it.

Beyond that, I've already confessed that I'm not a saw expert. Uh... very little assembly required out of the box... Cuts real nice. ;)

Shinies. :)
My wife has quite the "honey do" list as well, I can sympathize. :)
Just watch those fingers with the saw!
