|My Commute, Part II
||[Dec. 10th, 2007|09:03 pm]
I continue to enjoy my commute. Sure, it's long. Sure, I have to walk a bit.|
But I've seen whales in Puget Sound. Now I got to see a different whale:
That's the mascot of the Washington State Ferries, Oly the Orca. He was on board today, waving to all the cars driving onto the ferry. Then he went through the passenger cabin greeting and doing photo ops.
Not a bad 'suit. Whales are tough to do well. Decent performer but low energy on movements. (I'm always a critic!)
Certainly livened up the morning commute, though. :)
Geez! All I ever see on my commute is punk high-school kids standing around smoking.
(at least my commute is short.......)
Where's your harpoon when you need it?!
aww... I'd love to see the video of him. (I'm quite a critic too)
yah... just not enough mascot randomness around here. :/
Sweet! I'm gonna get an Orca fursuit one day :)
Hey! Looks just like the Shamu mascot at Sea World in Orlando!!
Where are Fran and Ookla?
That would certainly make a morning commute much more enjoyable!
There's a part time job for ya! I wonder if they'd pay you to show up a bit early for your commute, get dressed up, get a free ride across the sound to work, then the same thing on the way home. *ponders* Cut down your monthly expenses AND have an excuse to fursuit every day :-p
Looks kinda like a bag of fur to me, but good performance counts for an awful lot of course. ;) (It's all I have to rely on with my own suit any more, at least - the suit's really starting to get past its use-by date.)
Wow, I never even knew the ferries had a mascot. Still a nice change from the normal day to day.
