Good news at last: I officially have a job!

As of this afternoon, I am an employee at Altera, a semiconductor and design tools corporation. I am being hired as a "Senior Design Engineer" to work on automated simulation and language synthesis tools. (Really. I didn't make that up. I would explain it all but people usually fall asleep.)

It looks like it'll be a good job. Interesting work (to me) and in line with my expertise. Pretty nice salary, too. The campus is absolutely beautiful, resembling parkland more than industrial complex. The only downside is that my commute will probably be about 65 minutes each way; I'll try to reduce that by travelling slightly off-hours and see how it goes.

In summary: YAY! :>
