Finished My Novel Editing Pass

After months of work, I've finally managed to get through the tough "major edits" pass in my manuscript. This was an extensive on-paper edit of my completed draft.

Now I get to go through and translate these back into the digital version, rechecking and tweaking them. Since I did a fairly comprehensive timeline and outline before writing, there isn't a whole lot that's being cut out -- more often dialog threads rather than entire scenes. Plus I've already got a file of minor additions to place.

So we'll see what the net word change is after this big multi-pass edit. It's currently around 120K and I'm guessing it'll be about 105-110K, all told. (If you're a normal person and don't think in word count, the manuscript is 312 full pages of 1.5-spaced text.)

Then a final reread for flow and pacing, some copy editing, and... I need to somehow sell it to an agent. Yipe.
