Work: Been very busy lately. I'm overseeing one major project and three parts of another one. Both decided to have things go wrong and require replanning at the same time, so that's pretty much sucked away the days.
Home: We've made progress on cleaning and are trying out a new weekly task list to keep track of what needs to be done. Not quite a chore list, because we also put positive things ("writing time", "workshop time") on there as they are also important. It helps because, even if we aren't scoring 100%, we're more conscious of what's not getting done.
Projects: In the last portion of a big commission project for a friend. It's a giant plush rather than a suit, so it's a bit of a departure from my usual pattern. I have another commission after that and then workshop time will be scarce because...
Baby: The baby's due in mid/late May. Kit had another appointment and things are going along well. We went to childbirth classes since we want to attempt a natural child birth (insert Cosby routine here) which wasn't really an option last time since Tim as so early. We have picked out a name and it's... not Cindy. But starts with C. ;)
Shopping: I was at Kohl's earlier buying clothes since I just tore the fabric in one of my few remaining pairs of dress pants. I'm not overly picky and they have some good items buried in their sales racks. I got enough marked down items that I actually saved ($117) more than the total ($88) at checkout! Yet somehow I still had to give them money. I think I broke math.
Taxes: And I'll continue shopping at the discount racks. Did taxes with our preparer, owe a chunk of money, need to adjust my withholdings.
And now the cous cous is finishing up and the chicken will be done roasting soon so I need to tend to that. But on the subject of food, I leave you with two awesome food-related creations: a cake for luring in rodents and a salad for luring in predators! :)
