I like fruity tarts. (Insert obvious joke here.)
Made these the other night. Really not too much work. I put them in premade graham cracker crusts and overly-cute leaf ramekins.
They're pastry cream (créme pâtissiere) with some fresh berries and crystal sugar on top. Pastry cream is essentially a simple cooked custard. With a nice shot of vanilla, since I'm fond of it.
These urges to cook desserts always seem to strike in the evening (as evidenced by the stove clock). I need to either (a) have more quick-to-make recipes like this or (b) get these urges much earlier in the evening. :)
