Kickstarters (Possibly of Furry Interest) [Dec. 29th, 2013|01:47 pm]
Nicodemus
A coworker is trying to get funding to make his card game "Mobscenity".

Mobscenity Kickstarter

It's sort of a naughty Apples to Apples type party game. Have some drinks, play with words, see what comes out of people's mouths. You'll forgive me if I think furries might totally rock at this game. :)

Check out the Kickstarter video for a good preview of play. And, if you think it sounds fun, please pass on the link!

Second, there's the "FaceRig" project.

FaceRig chat avatars

A very intriguing project to use webcams for mimicking facial expression onto virtual characters. Even the alpha stage version they're demoing is pretty impressive. I'm a bit disappointed Mac support isn't higher on their list. Still... Get some more fuzzy avatars available... this could be really popular in furry circles. :)

Bonus mention: Cross Hares board game - Adding a bit of RPG touch (and a load of bunnies!) to the classic walk-the-path game.

Dunno, honestly. I've not played Cards Against Humanity so don't know the mechanics of that one.

Totally unrelated to the above, but have you seen the Portlandia Rats?

Here's a link to some bts of the shorts (apparently a sub-story/parody in a show called, "Portlandia")

Oooh, I'd seen the skit in season two (most excellent) but didn't realize that they had additional bits in season three. Neat! Thanks for that.
