Michael Eisner, CEO and ex-chairman, has announced that he will leave Disney in two years. Many fans, I'm sure, will regard this as a possible reprieve for the Disney brand and spirit, which has suffered under his stewardship. It is certainly a victory for Roy Disney, who left the company in protest and called for Eisner to step down. A shareholder vote backed Roy up with an incredibly low confidence level in Eisner's corporate leadership.
Let's hope that they can get someone that will turn Disney around. I want to be a Disney fan again.
