Book recommended at FC [Jan. 20th, 2005|09:43 pm]
[Current Mood |rodential]

In the Rodent panel, I recommended a new book out about rats. A guy watched a New York alley for a year, noting the habits of the rats. He also interviewed people and delved into the history of rats. Very fascinating view of both the creature and culture.

But I couldn't remember the author's name! So, having looked on my bookshelf, here it is:

"Rats" by Robert Sullivan.

[This one's especially for tarirat, swiftrat, marko_the_rat, evilrat, metallix, twigmouse, murries, ...]

Duly noted, sensei. I'll take the details down and try to order it locally. Thank you.

Sounds like an interesting book. I had a colony of 5 rats when I was a cub. They had previously lived in the high school biology lab but the teacher changed jobs and couldn't keep them anymore. She was a neighbor of ours and I kind of inherited them when she moved. I'm sure my mom was horrified but she was really cool about it.
