Rats on the Radio! [Apr. 1st, 2005|07:36 am]
[Current Mood |rodential]

More ratty news:

NPR's Fresh Air program will feature Robert Sullivan, author of Rats (a book I've previously recommended). He talks about his experiences watching rat behavior in a New York alley (for a year) as well as other rat-related topics (researching extermination, the history of rats, etc.).

You can catch it today at 1pm PST on KQED with online streaming.

P.S. No, there's no April Fool's idiocy involved in this post.

I bought that book, soley on your recommendation. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I have high hopes for it, even if it does talk about population control.

I liked it and I hope you do, too.

He's not particularly pro-rat... He seems fairly balanced. I think he has/had a bit of the common phobia and prejudice towards them but, in the end, he comes to respect them for what they are.
