|Friends List Re-Org
||[Jun. 6th, 2005|12:53 pm]
Over the next couple days, I'm going to be re-organizing my friends lists. I will be dropping some people whose journals I find I'm not really reading any more, for one reason or another. While I like keeping up with people, it's a lot of traffic. |
Standard Anti-Drama Disclaimer:
Despite LJ use of the term "friends", I'm not removing you because I'm not "friends" with you. It's nothing personal. Honest. Friends lists are just about my reading material, not personal statements.
Q: Why not use friends groups to lower traffic?
I already do; I usually get a chance to read about 60% of my friends' posts. But I find this isn't always best because people assume that if you have friended them, then you must be reading their posts. It's just a perception thing.
Q: Waaa! You unfriended me!
Okay, not technically a question. But if I dropped you and you would really like to be on my friends list, leave a comment here. Again, it's not really anything personal, just house cleaning.
Well, if you do enjoy reading (I'm flattered!), I'll keep you on the friends list so that you can see locked posts. Thanks for the reply.
Well, I hope you still continue to have public posts. The ones I have read so far have been interesting and/or amusing. My favorite was that 'generic post' that I came across. Still hilarious even after, what, like two years. Such a witty rat. :)
Aww, gosh. :) Yes, I'll still continue with about the same public/private posting traffic. I'll have a read through your journal; seen your name a few times and meant to do so earlier. Thanks for reading!
No biggie. I don't actually recall how we ended up friending each other now to be honest O_o
Ya know, I don't recall, either! Probably a random friend-of-a-friend encounter, as so often happens on LJ. :)
I have some extra friends you might want!
I'll assume #9 to be the main factor unless told otherwise. Admittedly, my journal's focus shifted a lot since you friended me about a year ago. Heck, I've got so many people on my increasingly time-consuming list I should probably be doing some trimming myself. I hope you don't mind if I keep reading you anyway. No hard feelings, yes? n_n
Yep. As I say, nothing personal there. You tend to post a lot of lengthy stuff that, while good, wasn't so much up my alley. You are, of course, welcome to keep reading my journal.
*keeps an eye on things to see if he remains on the "A" list* :)
